Description
Small black dining table, restored and treated using the ancient Japanese Shou Sugi Ban technique. This woodworking method involves charring the wood to seal it, making it incredibly sturdy and easy to maintain (it won’t rub off).
The table itself is an antique originating from the former Dutch East Indies (circa 1890), where it was crafted from local hardwood. Hardwood from this region is renowned for its long life.
The tabletop has been treated to resist stains.
