Industrial bistro table – Steel and reclaimed oak top – DT41

This industrial bistro table features a steel table base, custom-made right in our own workshop. The tabletop is crafted from thin, sun-scorched reclaimed oak (sawn from the exterior of old beams) bonded onto furniture board. The outer edges are made of solid planks. Because the oak spent decades as exterior cladding, naturally weathered by the sun, it has developed a stunning patina.

This sun-drenched oak is reclaimed structural timber. Where old joints used to be, holes remain in the planks. These holes are filled with wooden blocks from the same weathered oak. Check out the detail photo in the gallery for an example.

The dimensions of the sample tables in the gallery are 70x70cm.

The tabletop has been treated against spots. Other colours or wood finishes are available upon request. For larger tabletops, we use a larger floor plate for added stability.

This table is made from a special sustainable wood: reclaimed old oak.

For years, this wood served as cladding on farm barns in Central Europe. There, rain and sun have given it a beautiful natural patina.

By reusing old oak in a new table, this distinctive material gets a second life. That reduces the need for new timber and helps preserve nature while lowering our ecological footprint.
