Industrial table with a 7cm sunburned reclaimed oak top – DT06

This industrial design table was designed by us, is crafted in our own workshop, and features a cast-iron table base.
Het tabletop is made of 7cm thick solid sun-baked old oak. Because the oak spent decades as facade cladding in the sun, it has developed a beautiful patina.

This sun-weathered oak is structural timber. Where old joints once were, there are holes in the planks. We fill these holes with wooden blocks of the same sun-weathered oak. Check out the detail photo in the images.

This table is made from a special sustainable wood: reclaimed old oak.

For years, this wood served as cladding on farm barns in Central Europe. There, rain and sun have given it a beautiful natural patina.

By reusing old oak in a new table, this distinctive material gets a second life. That reduces the need for new timber and helps preserve nature while lowering our ecological footprint.
