Oak dining table St Moritz height adjustable – custom made – Z024

This handsome oak dining table features wooden legs with a height-adjustable mechanism. This allows the tabletop to be adjusted from 76cm to 114cm in height. The tabletop, approximately 7cm thick, and the table legs are made from thin, sun-scorched reclaimed oak (sawn from the exterior of old beams) glued onto furniture board. The outer edges are crafted from solid planks.

Because the oak has been discoloured by the sun for decades as facade cladding, it has developed a stunning patina. This sun-weathered oak is structural timber. Holes in the planks, where old joints once were, are filled with wooden blocks of the same sun-weathered oak.

This table is fitted with our adjustable mechanism. The top can be set between 76 cm and 114 cm high. The same table works as a dining table (low) and as a bar table or standing desk (high).

We build the height mechanism from sturdy, high-quality materials and parts. Turn the hand wheel to move the gears and raise or lower the top.

For heavy tops we recommend our heavy-duty mechanism. Extra gears make even large tops easy to adjust. You can add it on request.

This table is made from a special sustainable wood: reclaimed old oak.

For years, this wood served as cladding on farm barns in Central Europe. There, rain and sun have given it a beautiful natural patina.

By reusing old oak in a new table, this distinctive material gets a second life. That reduces the need for new timber and helps preserve nature while lowering our ecological footprint.
