Description
This oval refectory table, model Annecy, was designed by us and crafted in our own workshop.
This table has been sold, and is available on request.
The table top, approx. 6cm thick, is made of thin sun-weathered reclaimed oak (sawn from the exterior of old beams) glued onto furniture board. The outer edges are made of solid planks. Because the oak wood has been sun-weathered for decades as exterior cladding, it has developed a beautiful patina. The table top has been treated against spots.
Dimensions: L 290, B 120cm.
This table is also available made-to-measure, see the page: Custom Annecy.
We also make matching dining benches for these refectory tables. Interested? Have a look at the page: dining benches.
Reclaimed oak
This table is made from a special sustainable wood: reclaimed old oak.
For years, this wood served as cladding on farm barns in Central Europe. There, rain and sun have given it a beautiful natural patina.
By reusing old oak in a new table, this distinctive material gets a second life. That reduces the need for new timber and helps preserve nature while lowering our ecological footprint.
